What Facecards Is
- Three symbol: the Jack, Queen and King from a standard deck of playing cards
- Shows responsibilities and authority for actions to be taken
- Ensures there is no ambiguity and increase probability of success
How To Use Facecards
- You need to be crystal clear who will accomplish defined tasks
- List tasks in a column on the left and list the people involved in the activity or project along the top
- At the intersections, you specify the individual’s role by placing one of the three symbols. If a person has no role in an activity, you leave the intersection blank
Definitions
King
L = Leader The King leads an activity and is decision maker
-The King must consult with his decision-making partner, the Queen
-The King has authority to give direction to the Jack,
who supports or preforms the activity
-The King may or may not help in performing the activity
Queen
P = Partner- The Queen is a partner in decisions
Jack
I = Implementation- The Jack is the implementer of activities
